Pet Emergency Care

Our pets don’t express pain in the same ways we do. Be on the lookout for these potential signs of emergency:

  • Open wounds that won’t stop bleeding

  • Unconsciousness

  • Trouble breathing

  • Seizures

  • Unable to walk

  • Broken bones

  • Unable to urinate

  • Bloody stool or urine

  • Eye injuries

Remember that remaining calm is the most important thing you can do in an emergency. If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call us so our team can help advise you on the best course of action.

How Our Pet Emergency
Service Works

We work to provide emergency care for our pet patients as needed during our open hours, Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. Please contact us ahead of your arrival to give us time to prepare. Our team will work with you to determine the severity of your pet’s emergency and provide the next steps for healing your beloved pet.

After we gain a thorough understanding of your pet’s condition, we will do one of wo things:

  • Provide you with care instructions to stabilize your pet and keep them comfortable until an appointment if the emergency isn’t too severe.
  • Tell you to bring your pet in to be seen right away.

Please note that we are not a 24-hour emergency facility. Once your pet is stable, we may refer you to a 24-hour hospital if they require overnight care or specialized technology.

Premier Animal Wellness & Surgery Hospital offers daytime pet emergency care with Dr. Adrienne Price for cats and dogs in Bowling Green, Russellville, Franklin, and surrounding areas.
